Past Projects
Plain Sight, 2020-2021
Plain Sight was a publication devoted to written and visual art that sought out the hidden in our collective every-day being. Started by two brothers, a photographer and a writer, Plain Sight was founded with the goal of publishing voices that speak for hidden people, hidden places, and every beautiful and dark thing around us that is hidden in plain sight.
DeadCone, 2017-2021
DeadCone was a project exploring the loss of meaning through the over-saturation of traffic cones in our landscape. As I travelled across different urban landscapes, I noticed that safety cones, intended to be a symbol of warning, attention or danger had almost entirely lost their meaning in contexts where they are not perfectly placed. What did a shredded cone under a bench mean? Why was there a cone upside down in a tree? Were these warnings still to be taken seriously?
